Wilson Perumal & Company (WP&C) is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Andrei Perumal has been named one of 'The Top 50 Government Consultants of 2022' by The Consulting Report for the second year in a row. 

Perumal is an advisor to many C-level executives and government leaders, including several senior general officers and senior SES individuals. He led WP&C's entry into the government sector ten years ago and currently leads the firm’s government business, while continuing to serve commercial clients. WP&C has developed a reputation for helping government organizations think differently and solve their toughest strategy, operations, technology, and organizational transformation challenges.

Perumal is an expert on how complexity impacts cost, growth, and risk in organizations and is a regular speaker and the author of two books on the topic—Growth in the Age of Complexity and Waging War on Complexity Costs (McGraw-Hill). He creates and leads the development of innovative methodologies, including WP&C’s powerful Square Root Costing and a suite of organizational transformation and operational risk reduction methodologies.

Prior to founding WP&C, Perumal was head of strategic operations for Beal Bank (the most profitable bank in the nation), served as a rocket propellant plant manager and program manager, and worked in consulting at Bain & Company and as a Principal at George Group Consulting (which was acquired by Accenture). He holds an engineering degree from MIT and served in the US Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program.

The Consulting Report selected 'The Top 50 Government Consultants' after conducting an extensive evaluation of consultants' career achievements and demonstrated leadership capabilities. Nominees were evaluated based on factors including industry tenure, proven capabilities, ability to uphold values of integrity and inclusivity in their work culture, and key roles in helping their firms achieve milestones. 

These leaders are acknowledged for providing public and private-sector organizations with insights and strategies to improve operational performance and achieve mission-based objectives. With the US government expenditure accounting for approximately 40% of the $25 trillion national economy, the need for expert guidance from consulting professionals has never been greater.
