Enterprise logistics strategy for U.S. federal government

WP&C's Approach

Wilson Perumal & Company applied a hypothesis-driven, top-down methodology to efficiently identify new insights and develop a pragmatic, integrated strategy for optimized enterprise logistics.  The client’s issues were broad and idiosyncratic in nature, but WP&C’s team prioritized the identification of key implications facing the enterprise and focused the analysis on high-value areas.

WP&C established strategies for the management of the network, stock positioning, logistics workload, transition to future state, and a robust system of monitoring performance.  A variety of decision-making tools, including decision frameworks, standard processes, and leadership-level metrics, were produced to guide the enterprise’s readiness, service level, and efficiency.  The case was structured with the following three phases and key activities.
